Cultural Political Economy Sector Analysis of Higher Education and its Role in Peace Education and Research in Ethiopia

Bodhi undertook a Cultural Political Economy Analysis in the Ethiopian higher education sector. The purpose of the consultancy is to provide an analysis of the political, economic and cultural context in which the University Partnerships for Peace Education and Research (UPPER) operates in Ethiopia, by examining the relationships and structures of, and between, key project partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries associated with developing and delivering peace education in universities.

Participatory Gender-Sensitive Conflict Analysis for Gambella and Somali Regions, Ethiopia

Using a robust bespoke conceptual framework, Bodhi is currently conducting a gender-sensitive conflict analysis to generate a shared understanding of the local conflict dynamics in Gambella and Somali Regions, Ethiopia. This study will strengthen the Danish Refugee Council (DRC)’s forthcoming programming in the regions, and inform an understanding of how programme activities may impact these dynamics in positive and negative ways and how to mitigate or optimise these dynamics by identifying conflict sensitivity risks and opportunities.

Rapid disability inclusion barrier and facilitator assessment in South Sudanese refugee camps (Ethiopia)

The project involved assessing barriers (attitudinal, financial, physical, institutional, safety and security barriers) and facilitating factors to accessing humanitarian services by persons with disabilities and other most at risk populations among South Sudanese Refugees and host communities in Gambella, Ethiopia.
