Endline Evaluation of ADAPT II

Mercy Corps

Bodhi conducted an end-line evaluation of Mercy Corps’ Addressing Diverse and Acute Primary Threats to Human Security in North-eastern Nigeria (ADAPT) II Programme’. This Mercy Corps implemented USAID/BHA funded grant aims to ‘save lives, alleviate human suffering, and reduce the physical, social and economic impact of rapid and slow-onset disasters’. ADAPT II implements several interventions through a multisectoral approach to contribute to the following two main purposes: Ensuring that the critical and early recovery needs of 126,240 vulnerable displaced, returnee and host populations across Borno state are met. Developing robust research, analysis, and reporting to better inform and guide the response in Borno and critically examine humanitarian approaches and activities. For this evaluation, the team expanded on their experience conducting the evaluation of the first ADAPT programme, conducting a regional-scale quantitative face-to-face survey to assess progress against fifteen standard BHA indicators, and supplementing the survey with qualitative interviews. The evaluation used the 'outcomes harvesting’ approach to guide the analytical framework development.
