Bodhi Kenya have been contracted by the Global Center on Adaptation to conduct a research project on "Climate Adaptation and Security in the Sahel and the Horn of Africa". The aim of this study is to understand and pioneer new approaches in the climate-security discourse. Through the close analysis of statistical evidence linking conflict situations and climate change impacts, as well as regional case studies illustrating the key issues, Bodhi Kenya will contribute to the growing policy discourse around climate, peace and security. Informed by key continental strategic agendas, the research will aim to facilitate greater comprehension among policymakers regarding the multi‐faceted interactions between extreme weather, climate change, conflict, and national security issues in the Sahel and Horn of Africa.
