Danish Refugee Council (DRC)
Bodhi conducted a Conflict Sensitivity Analysis (CSA) to support the Danish Refugee Council's upcoming project, “Strengthening the Capacity and Resilience of Yemeni Communities to the Risks of Climate Change”, in in Tuban (Lahj governorate) and Haydan (Sa’ada governorate) districts of Yemen. The DRC's project, funded by the European Union, will aim to build the capacity of Yemeni Civil Society Organisations to be better equipped in identifying and addressing climate-related challenges, by leveraging on local capacities, practices and resources for evidence-based solutions. Bodhi's CSA ensured the DRC's project is designed and implemented in a manner that minimises negative impacts on conflict dynamics whilst maximising positive contributions to peace and stability in Yemen. This was achieved by utilising DRC’s Conflict Analysis Framework as the primary lens, incorporating core concepts including conflict profiles, analysis of structural, proximate and trigger causes, actor mapping, conflict dynamics assessment, and critically, the identification of local dividers and connectors.
