Saferworld Peace and Security Assessments under the SPREAD Project in Kenya and South Sudan

The overall aim of the study was to inform adaptations to the design and approach of the SPREAD project in the Karamoja Cluster, and to enhance its relevance, effectiveness, and sustainability, including by strengthening its conflict- and gender-sensitivity. The project focused on Turkana County (Kenya) and Eastern Equatoria (South Sudan). The specific objectives of this project were: Mapping of Peace Infrastructure, Gender-Sensitive Conflict Analysis and Community Security Assessment. Bodhi conducted a comprehensive desk review, as well as Key Informant Interviews, and Focus Group Discussions to complete a framework analysis and thematic analysis using in-depth secondary and primary data.
