Bodhi is conducting the endline evaluation of the Save Her Seat project for Right To Play in Tanzania. This three-year initiative (April 2023 to March 2026), funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and Liverpool Football Club Foundation, aims to increase gender equality and improve learning outcomes for girls in grades 5-7 across 40 primary schools in Tarime and Serengeti districts, Mara region. The project targets over 4,800 girls aged approximately 12-15 years through interventions that decrease barriers to girls' school engagement by enhancing life skills and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) knowledge, strengthen gender-responsive and safe learning environments, and increase community engagement to dismantle harmful gender norms. The evaluation employs a mixed-methods design with an intersectional gender lens, using both quantitative tools (life skills assessment, child survey, classroom observation, school records review) and qualitative methods (key informant interviews with teachers, parents, school administrators and education officials; focus group discussions with teachers, parents/caregivers, and children including those with disabilities). Deliverables include an inception report with evaluation framework and methodology, enumerator training, data collection oversight and quality assurance, comprehensive data analysis, and a final evaluation report with recommendations.
