Study on the intersection between climate change, human mobility and conflict in South Sudan
Bodhi undertook an in-depth analysis of climate hazards, human mobility, and human security in South Sudan for IOM. This analysis aimed to develop sustainable responses against a backdrop of consistent and multifaceted conflict, significant impacts of climate change and ecological disasters, and disrupted and disruptive migration patterns across the country. The analysis provided an unprecedented assessment of the intersection between climate change, human mobility, and conflict in South Sudan, and evaluated relevant climate change and human security policies and governance arrangements in the country. It concluded with actionable recommendations for IOM to address the interconnected impacts of climate change, conflict, and migration, and to seize opportunities to build peace and social cohesion in South Sudan.
