Bodhi has been contracted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Finland to systematically harvest, analyse and synthesise information about Finnish “agency” and “added value” in Finland’s development policy and cooperation between 2019 and 2026. Supported by the Ministry’s OpenEval tool, the synthesis will provide a holistic picture and highlight examples of cases where Finnish agency has succeeded as well as provide examples of Finnish added value, where and how it has materialised in the promotion of Finnish development policy objectives. The objective is to gain new knowledge regarding how these policy objectives have been operationalised and what the achievements and results have been. The main users of the synthesis will be the different units and departments in the Ministry leading and managing development policy and cooperation, including results-based management and development communication. The secondary users include different partners, actors and stakeholders who are likely to find the results useful.
