Bodhi was contracted to conduct the end-term evaluation for UNDP's Promoting Peace and Inclusive Development in Northeastern Kenya project, a Peacebuilding Fund-supported initiative addressing conflict drivers and strengthening social cohesion across Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa counties. The project sought to foster a peaceful and inclusive environment in the borderland counties of Northeastern Kenya through a multifaceted approach that combines community engagement, capacity building, and livelihood support. The evaluation will employ mixed-methods research to assess the project's contributions to inclusive governance, civil-military cooperation, livelihood support, and broader peacebuilding outcomes in this conflict-affected borderland region. The evaluation also adopted a theory-based approach grounded in utilisation-focused evaluation principles. Recognising the complex operating environment of Northeastern Kenya, the methodology prioritised peacebuilding results as the primary line of inquiry, examining not merely thematic achievements in governance and livelihoods, but the degree to which these interventions have addressed underlying conflict factors
