Bodhi Global Analysis was contracted by UN Women Jordan to design and deliver an Analysis of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Advocacy Efforts in Jordan as part of their Women’s Effective Engagement in Shaping the Future of Jordan’s Political Life project. This research study mapped and assessed advocacy efforts on gender equality and women's empowerment in Jordan over the past 20 years (2004‐2023). Bodhi developed a tailored theory‐based approach to this research, informed by gender equality and women’s empowerment dimensions in the UN Women Women’s Empowerment Index and Global Gender Parity Index. The assessment identified the main factors for success, failure and lessons learnt, as well as gaps and priority issues to shape the agenda for future collaboration on gender equality. The study served as a primary source for evidence‐driven advocacy, decision making and programming for a range of stakeholders at all levels.
