Bodhi conducted the final evaluation of the Broadening Emergency and Graduation Efforts in Borno (BEGE) programme for Mercy Corps and the International Rescue Committee (IRC). The 24-month USAID-funded humanitarian programme operates across five Local Government Areas in Borno State, Northeast Nigeria (Gwoza, Damboa, Dikwa, Konduga, and Monguno), delivering integrated assistance to 238,369 displaced, returnee, and host community households. The evaluation employed mixed methods to assess programme performance across eight sectors: Health, Nutrition, WASH, Food Assistance, Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA), Protection, Shelter, and Agriculture. The study examined the programme's two core purposes: meeting critical life-preserving needs of vulnerable populations and establishing early recovery and durable solutions pathways. Deliverables included an inception report, synthesis of lessons learned, a comprehensive endline evaluation report with baseline and midline comparisons, case study profiles, and a lessons learned document.
