In November 2024, Bodhi Global Analysis was commissioned to conduct a solutions analysis of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Kachin State, Myanmar. The study examined how IDPs, alongside local and international actors, are pursuing transitional solutions, initiatives that support return, resettlement, or local integration, as foundational steps toward durable solutions amidst ongoing conflict and instability. The analysis used a tailored framework adapted from the Regional Durable Solutions Secretariat (ReDSS), focusing on three core dimensions: physical, material, and legal safety. Data was collected through 31 key informant interviews (KIIs) with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and community members in Southern and Northern Kachin and supplemented by secondary data from the Durable Solutions Working Group (DSWG) Solutions Information System.
