Bodhi conducted a peace and conflict analysis for GIZ to support their commitment to improving their work in the regions of Oromia, Gambella, and Benishangul Gumuz in Ethiopia. The analysis focused on both national and local levels to unravel historical and current conflict trends, as well as dynamics and opportunities for peace, with the objective of identifying options for context- and conflict-sensitive, as well as peace-responsive, implementation of projects in these regions. The study primarily used qualitative research methods, including a review of existing secondary data and primary data collection through 21 key informant interviews. Quantitative data on conflict incidents and displacement were also consulted, and triangulation of data collection methods was used to ensure robustness and reliability of findings.
