Bodhi conducted a research project encompassing three main components: a systematic mapping of existing natural resource conflicts across Africa, a comprehensive desk review of peacebuilding efforts undertaken by the African Union and Regional Economic Communities, and the production of a detailed report assessing the conflict resolution capacities of key African regional institutions. Through these activities, we aimed to provide a holistic overview of natural resource-related conflicts in Africa and evaluate the effectiveness of regional bodies in addressing these challenges. The project employed key informant interviews and the desk review for qualitative data collection.
