Consultancy for gender analysis and gender programming training in Jordan

Caritas

Bodhi conducted an intersectional gender analysis for Caritas' RE-STRAPH project in Jordan, which aims to strengthen protection and health services for refugees and vulnerable Jordanians. The analysis was conducted for Caritas Jordan and Caritas Austria. The objective was to map gender gaps and inequalities, as well as the needs, constraints, and opportunities for women, men, girls, and boys in the country. The analysis captured various gender-specific constraints related to factors such as age, residential status (including refugee status), and disability. This approach enabled the identification of appropriate response measures based on gender diversity. The methodology included a comprehensive desk-based review of secondary literature and primary data collection through 14 key informant interviews and 16 focus group discussions, conducted with gender-disaggregated groups of Jordanians and Syrian refugees in various locations across Jordan.
