Bodhi was contracted by Right to Play to undertake a baseline study and gender context analysis of the Save Her Seat Project in Tanzania. This is a 3-year project (April 2023 – April 2026) aimed to increase the promotion of gender equality and improve learning outcomes for girls in grades 5-7 through the provision of quality education in the Mara region. The objective of this baseline study and gender context analysis was to provide contextual information on the current conditions of education for girls in the Mara region by using a participatory and collaborative approach. Bodhi conducted this assignment in line with feminist research principles, aiming to shift the power from the evaluation team and Right To Play to local researchers and research participants through data collection training, gender-sensitive and conflict-sensitive approaches.
