Below is a selection of some of the projects Bodhi has worked with over the past few years.
Bodhi undertook a final evaluation of the Northern Kenya Integrated Development Programme for Finn Church, conducting fieldwork in Elgeyo Marakwet and Baringo counties. The programme mobilises change agents to disseminate conflict mitigation messaging, while also providing livelihoods opportunities to former fighters.
A baseline study into SFCG’s Uchaguzi Bila Bilaa programme for Violence Free Elections in Coastal Kenya, designed to strengthen community resilience to election-related violence by empowering local actors to identify, monitor, and de-escalate rising tensions. The study also includes an assessment into the community tensions and conflicts in the lead up to, during, and after the 2022 Kenyan Elections and what the available mechanisms to. de-escalate tension raised during and after the election.
The project involved a desk review, legislation and policy analysis, and training 40 enumerators to carry out semi-structured interview surveys, mobility mapping, problem ranking and thematic FGDs in three constituencies in Nairobi. Data was disaggregated by gender, socio-economic background and type of disability. On the basis of the research findings we developed programming options designed to increase the social, economic and political inclusion of youths with disabilities.
