Environment, conflict and peace in South Sudan: Implications for conflict sensitive aid

Safer World

Bodhi is conducting a meta-analysis to outline a broad context for how the environment interacts with peace and conflict dynamics in South Sudan, to identify implications for the aid sector and conflict sensitive international engagement in South Sudan. The analysis will draw together diverse insights from the aid sector as well as different technical specialisms (environmentalists, conservationists, natural resource management) and contextual expertise (communities, academics, civil society, relevant local-authority/government officials). Bodhi will adopt a gender-sensitive and intersectional approach, identifying, where possible, the role that gender norms and roles play as an intervening variable in the relationship between the environment and peace/conflict in South Sudan.
